Minnesota State Patrol Trooper's believe strongly in the prevention and apprehension of driver's operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or other mood altering drugs.   This calculator is not intended as an end all benchmark to be carried with you while you consume alcohol.   Instead it is meant as a tool to educate the public as to the possible number of drinks one might consume then attempt to drive.

Please, do not drink and drive.  If you feel the need to drink, get a sober driver or stay home.  Everyday we lose good people to drunk and impaired drivers.  This can be prevented but only by you.

As of 2005 the per se level for intoxication is .08.  The prima facia level is .04
