PROMOTION

 June 2, 2004

 Sgt. Al Freng was promoted to the new rank of Lieutenant at a Central Office ceremony.  Lt. Freng will now assume the role of lieutenant in charge of incumbent training at the State Patrol Training Academy.

 Lt. Freng had his wife, Michele pin his badge on while his family watched.  Captain Gary Schloesser and Cpl. Dan Lewis had the honor of pinning the new lieutenant bars onto the uniform.

  Sgt. Freng has been the SRT’s Team Leader since the Team’s formation in 1991.  As is the tradition with the Special Response Team when a member is promoted, the Team presents a gift at the ceremony.  Lt. Freng received a framed print for his years of selfless devotion, commitment, and sacrifice.
